Aftercare
If your skin is particularly sensitive to waxing, apply antiseptic cream to the area regularly to speed up the healing process. A “bumpy” waxing rash is normal immediately afterwards and should subside within an hour or two.
For 24 hrs after, avoid:-
“Very” hot baths, showers, sauna’s etc as skin can be sensitive to heat.
Sunbeds and fake tans.
Exercise
Tight clothing
Deodorant, perfumed body lotions, talc, etc.
After 48 hrs, exfoliate (very gently) and moisturise the waxed area to prevent ingrown hairs, do this twice a week.
Clients new to waxing may see re-growth after a few days or a week. It can take up to 4 waxing sessions, (4 weekly) for your hair to get on a growth cycle which gives best results. Hair needs to be at least 1cm long in order to be waxed from the root. Please don’t be temped to shave in between appointments as this will interfere with the growth cycle.
